El Alcalde y el Presidente de la Asociaci\u00f3n, los plantaron en primavera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otra actividad programada, la exposici\u00f3n sobre el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico, patrocinada por el Aula de Medio Ambiente de Caja Burgos, sirvi\u00f3 de introducci\u00f3n y preparaci\u00f3n para la actividad del apadrinamiento, ya que en la exposici\u00f3n y conferencia se incidi\u00f3 sobre la importancia de los \u00e1rboles para detener el calentamiento global; los \u00e1rboles absorben el di\u00f3xido de carbono\u00a0 en el proceso de su fotos\u00edntesis. Cinco \u00e1rboles absorben una tonelada de di\u00f3xido de carbono a lo largo de su vida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al pie de cada \u00e1rbol, engalonado con cintas de colores, se coloc\u00f3 una lacha de piedra pintada por los ni\u00f1os, con su nombre y el \u00e1rbol que apadrinan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Presidente de la Asociaci\u00f3n les explic\u00f3 la importancia de este acto, ya que el apadrinar un \u00e1rbol les compromete a respetarlo, cuidarlo, regarlo, y si fuera necesario, hacer lo mismo con el resto de los \u00e1rboles, si sus amigos no pueden hacerlo.
